Update: Leadership Councils
During the December 2018 issue of CorHealth Quarterly, we were excited to share the kickoff of our Leadership Councils, which are part of CorHealth’s Advisory and Task Group Structure. Since last year, the Leadership Councils have met two times, where they provided advice and guidance on multiple CorHealth initiatives and projects, such as:
- Measurement and Reporting Framework – Provided key considerations when implementing the framework, such as gaps in current data collection to how data is shared with health system stakeholders and local leaders
- Bundled Funding – Emphasized areas that may impact successful implementation of the bundled funding model in cardiac and stroke care. Including phases of the patient pathway outside acute care (e.g. rehabilitation) is key.
- System Opportunities – Identified opportunities that could be tackled across cardiac, stroke and vascular care. For example, the Vascular Leadership Council identified an opportunity for improvement around services and care delivery for limb preservation and amputation prevention.
The Councils will meet in the Fall and continue to provide strategic advice and input to support the achievement of a high quality, integrated, system of cardiac, stroke and vascular care. If you have any questions, please contact us at oh-corh_service@ontariohealth.ca.
